Frequently asked questions

Rolley and Rolley+

What is the difference between Rolley and Rolley+?

Both share the same frame, motor and seated riding position. Rolley+ adds a larger, swappable battery (up to 56 miles / 90 km of median range, against up to 28 miles / 45 km for Rolley), and it is connected: the Scooterson app starts it, locks and unlocks it, shows where it is, and lets you unlock its battery bay. Rolley has no app connection. Every difference is on the specs page.

How fast does it go?

Rolley reaches 28 mph (45 km/h) and Rolley+ 34 mph (55 km/h). On public roads the speed is limited to what your city allows, typically 15–20 mph in North America and 20–25 km/h in Europe.

How much weight can it carry?

Rolley and Rolley+ carry a rider of up to 305 lbs (138 kg). They are made for one seated rider: never carry a passenger or heavy loads.

Do I need a licence or insurance?

That depends on where you ride. E-scooter rules differ from country to country and often from city to city. Check your local rules before your first ride.

Can I ride in the rain?

Ride only in suitable weather. Wet roads make braking distances longer, so slow down. Avoid heavy rain, puddles, snow and ice, and never clean your scooter with a high-pressure washer.

Does it fold?

No. To carry it in a car, take the handlebars off and strap the scooter upright in an estate car, an SUV or a van. See transporting in the owner’s manual.
